It's funny because it's true.

Well one year ago, I started this blog to get serious about my health and fitness.

That went well. NOT.

I will move on from the all the cliches.

So, I was asked by Peter at Kickstart fitness to join a "Body Transformation Challenge" which is being run by PT Method. the aim of the game is not to "lose weight", it is to "Transform" our Body.

So I thought about Goals. i have always had a weight goal. Peter asked us not to do this. We are destined for failure if we do this. I believe him. It hasn't worked well so far me, so let's do it differently.

After all, what is the definition of insanity? Doing the same and expecting a different result.

So lets do it differently.

Make a commitment, train with a team of 12 or so other like minded people who are also probably sick of themselves, lets train 5 days/week and support each other. This should work...shouldn't it?

Well it's up to me to make it work.

So everyday for the 12 weeks I am going to exercise. I am also going to eat well and ZERO alcohol.

Having PCOS doesn't help much as I know for about the first 6 weeks no weight will be lost based on past experience and then I usually give up but I have never trained hard 5 days/week.
So I plan to blog weekly and update Facebook everyday. I really want to share my experience with my fellow Cysters to see how quickly my body changes (or not).

I will post my stats in the next couple of days as we are being officially measured this week.

Please visit PT Method and watch the webisodes of us being tortured ;)

My Goals are to get the waistline to under 80cm, to be able to wear a sz 12...well, run 5km without stopping and hopefully all this will mean that my weight is under 70kg...I can only hope. I weighed myself and I am at 80.6kg but that's irrelevant.

Shayne can run in the rain.

http://www.endomondo.com/?wicket%3Ainterface=%3A4%3A%3A%3A%3A

The above run was done in the rain. Now that takes dedication and I not sure I got what it takes. On the way back I ran through the sproting fields and I got to tell you it was wet and joggers are not water proof. Something I can recommend is a "Rainbird stowaway jacket" they compact down really little and keep you dry. So lightweight. Google it!

I am so exhausted. I have not been doing so well with food and have been eating a bit of takeaway which is really not good for the cause. Tomorrow I will do better.

Minnamurra Rainforest

Today we did the Minnamurra Rainforest Walk, 4.2 km. Alot of it is up hill. Damn near killed me, however I kept the smile on my face becausse the scenery was lovely, my 5 yo loved it and my 11 yo hardly whined. Coming back was fabulous and the lil dude nearly ran the whole way down and he asleep tonight.

I have downloaded Couch to 5K application onto the ipod touch and tomorrow I will try it. Hopefully DD will be with me ;-).

Today was the city to surf, I have no desire to run it but maybe that will change by next year and I will be more excited to have a go, My sister in law did it today, I hope she blitzed it!!!!!!!!!

Till tomorrow ;-)

Day 2. Good Habits. Operation waistline.

Well, Darling daughter and I got out there this afternoon and pounded the bike track. We walked, then jogged etc. Felt good. Probably 3-4 km. Forgot my phone so I could track it.

My other goal is to get my waistline down to 80cm, at the moment it is 100cm, 1kg of weight lost = 1cm off your waist approx. Is that right Lorna?

And please someone help me to understand...when is it right to assume that if someone has a tummy they are pregnant? I must be asked at least twice a week. What's it all about?

Anyway day 2 over. Get up tomorrow morning and do some more running with my girl.

New Habits

Today my lovely daughter and I got up early and took the dog for a walk. So what? Well today is the first day of my new habit.

Running. (well walking, then running.)

I want to be a runner.

I want to be one those people that "go for a run".

Endurance, I have never really had any. My hubby, he was born with endurance. He is fit, trim and doesn't have to try. He works hard. He works long hours. He is amazing. I feel permanently exhausted. I try not to say it out loud, because then I will feel it...does that make sense? If I sit on the lounge I will fall asleep.

So my lovely friend Michelle set me a challenge. Lets do a 4km fun run. Its in September and I have about 6 weeks to train for it. Shit. I said yes to her and now I have to do it. I told hubby, but he used to me not following through on stuff.

So Sunday, I did a little bit of running/walking and today I did 4km walking the dog. I think tomorrow I will run/walk the same distance...no dog to slow me down.

Today 84kg.

I would like to be under 80kg by 19 September, 2010 the family fun run day.

Here is the link to my walk.
